CPKC is an independent, transdisciplinary institute for artistic research based in Berlin. It explores forms of cultural and scientific practice as histories of transcultural interconnections under the conditions of transnational migration and (post-)colonial governance. CPKC initiates and supports cultural projects, event series, exhibitions, and research processes within transdisciplinary networks. CPKC is committed to the role of culture and aesthetics in the creation of counter-narratives. It publishes and develops new formats for knowledge transfer and knowledge representation, for example, through internet-based mappings and interactive archives. Since 2026, work has been underway to build an online archive featuring materials from the estate of Marion von Osten and the cultural practice of Labor k3000.

CPKC emerged in 2006 from a collaboration between artists, social scientists, and exhibition curators and was originally supported by the nonprofit association transit e.V. The initiators of CPKC include Marion von Osten, Peter Spillmann, and Serhat Karakayalí in collaboration with Labor k3000 and Transit Migration.

CPKC ist ein unabhängiges transdisziplinäre Institut für künstlerische Forschung mit Sitz in Berlin. Es erforscht Formen von kultureller und wissenschaftlicher Praxis als transkulturelle Verflechtungsgeschichten unter den Bedingungen transnationaler Migration und (post-)kolonialer Regierung. CPKC initiiert und unterstützt kulturelle Projekte, Veranstaltungsreihen, Ausstellungen und Forschungsprozesse in transdisziplinären Netzwerken. CPKC engagiert sich für die Rolle von Kultur und Ästhetik in der Hervorbringung von Gegennarrativen. CPKC publiziert und entwickelt neue Formate der Wissensvermittlung und Wissensdarstellung z.B. mit Hilfe von internetbasierten Mappings und interaktiven Archiven. Seit 2026 läuft der Aufbau eines online-Archivs mit Materialien aus dem Nachlass von Marion von Osten und der kulturellen Praxix von Labor k3000.

CPKC ist 2006 aus einer Zusammenarbeit von Künster/innen, Gesellschaftswissenschaftler/innen und Ausstellungsmacher/innen hervorgegangen und wurde ursprünglich durch den gemeinnützigen Verein transit e.V. getragen. Zu den Initiator*innen von CPKC gehören Marion von Osten, Peter Spillmann und Serhat Karakayalí in Kollaboration mit Labor k3000, Transit Migration.
